MoRo Mobile Application

Farming the Future

Modular Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) with swarm technology for agriculture

Modular Robotics develops modular Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) with swarm technology for agriculture. Work is divided into many small work packages and processed time-optimized by the AMR "swarm".

In addition to mechanical activities such as mowing and weeding at the beginning and at a later stage activities such as monitoring, soil analysis etc. can also be taken over in the future.

Our software and hardware have open interfaces, hence enable the complete integration of external innovations in the future.

Steps

The product

  • Modular AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and Quadrocopters
  • Fleet technology with task management
  • Scalable fleet
  • Open hard- and software interfaces for full integration of new modules
In the future, all data will be transmitted to a cloud using 5G where it will be processed, which significantly reduces the computing power on the AMRs, reducing the costs of the AMRs significantly. A MoRo® fleet can be scaled as desired and can also be extended later by additional AMRs or modules. At present, all mechanical tasks involve a high level of personnel. This can be significantly reduced by using our AMRs. In future, the legal restrictions will prohibit a large proportion of chemical aids that have been used for economic reasons. In future, working economically will only be possible through consistent digitization and automation. With our products, we lay an essential foundation for sustainable agriculture through digitalization in which all processes in agriculture can be rethought.

HOW it works

  • Precise monitoring of eg pests allows MoRo® to take over control of just the 'hot spot' with beneficial organisms in order to prevent the spread of pests and reduce crop damage
  • Precise information about trace elements and soil condition determine further natural treatment of plant/surface in order to create ideal growth conditions.
  • By constantly monitoring the plants and soil, direct conclusions can be drawn about the effects of the substances and quantities used, and thus the berries/fruits, for example, can be optimized to make them more durable.
  • Soil erosion can be controlled (nominal/actual comparison).
  • Data on soil and plant quality data are essential for farmers and governments for planning and prevention. Currently, a lot of data is estimated.
  • The evaluated data and recommendations for actions are sold as part of a subscription model.

our vision

Agriculture has been practiced by mankind for thousands of years. Industrialization and later the combustion engine replaced the wagon. In the last 50 years there has been a trend towards farming more and more area with increasing size of machines. This trend with larger and therefore heavier vehicles also has its downsides, such as soil compression and erosion. Despite the use of the most modern technology, the yield per hectare partially decreased within in the last 25 years for numerous reasons, soil quality and climate change being one main two of them. The soil quality has deteriorated dramatically. Digitization offers the possibility of down-sizing and the automation of many processes farm more soil-friendly. Our mission is to create an open and expandable hardware and software platform for farming and green keeing that will be a standard in the years' to come that will allow farmers to operate more independently. MoRo® means focusing on the production of high-quality products that harmonize with the environment and usage of resources, as well as feeding people and guaranteeing an income for those employed in agriculture. Efficient ecological and sustainable farming through digitalization.
